About Mamala Surf Wetsuits
Sometime, as far back as the 16th century when surfing was a communal activity and the water was equally shared with men and women, there was a beautiful demigoddess Mamala. Shark, woman and fearless, she was the greatest surfer in the Polynesian Islands. Mamala had an affinity for the biggest waves and howling off-shore winds. Seasonal swells drew locals to the beach to cheer and admire Mamala’s extraordinary skills and bravery in the wildest of surf.
Inspired by Mamala’s fearlessness, independence and determination we have created Mamala Surf. A woman focused wetsuit company stoked by three independent women. Mamala Surf supplies women, with a love of the ocean, all the functional and stylish wetsuits needed to pursue their surf adventures.
